About the Stockton, California Area 

The appreciation for the historic significance of Stockton is undergoing a wonderful regeneration as the core of the city returns to the glory that attracted the first settlers more than 150 years ago! 

Step into DeCarli Square and you can project yourself back in time. To the east is the freshly renovated Historic Stockton Hotel, site of Governors Balls, dancing under the stars and elegant style from a bygone time. Renovated and sharing double duty as a senior housing mixed with fine dining, a new 5 Star resturant to open in 2006, and soon to follow, the return to dancing under the stars. 

To the west, the former homesite of the founder of Stockton, Charles M. Weber, now boasts a spacious open area park with it's million-dollar interactive waterfeature, incredible views as the head of the channel and a return of Mighty Casey's home with the new Stockton Field and our even newer Stockton Event Center, home of our new hockey team, indoor soccer and soon to be arena football team.  

Yes, it is safe to safe that Stockton is becoming a destination place. And, having lived here for 35 years, I can say it is a wonderful place for raising a family, owning a business or retiring. You can do it all!
